    • Thanks Raili, I completely understand about the whole awards thing. I, too, have received this before and I have thought it over a few times. But, for now…I feel if someone reads my blog, comments and gives me the encouragement to share my posts, I want to accept any form of acknowledgement I’m given by those readers. In return, I want to return the gesture to those who I admire and m inspired by. I whole heartedly believe in paying it forward in the blog-sphere. But, when I do…I also realize not everyone is on board with that thinking so I completely understand where you’re coming from. In the meantime, I do appreciate your 7 facts about you. I sometimes enjoy reading these more. It gives insight of who I am following, where they are coming from and how we connect in this world. In case I miss it, Happy Birthday. I just celebrated my 53rd and 33 years of marriage. God always blesses me more than I deserve. 🙂

      • Thanks for your comments Laura. I appreciate it very much. I always read comments – they are full of fascinating stuff!! I do like to pay it forward too. In my own way I guess. There’s room for diversity of expression in the great big world of the blogosphere 🙂 Happy belated birthday and anniversary to you too Laura. We just celebrated our 43rd anniversary. You deserve every blessing coming your way 🙂

        • 43 years! That’s definitely worth celebrating! Congrats! Not many couples these days strive for longevity. And yes, there’s always room for diversity in the sphere of blogs. That’s what makes it so beautiful! 😃

          • We’ve had our ups and downs as any relationship does. I guess we both believe in working together rather than giving up and throwing it all away like some sort of disposable trash. Ripens and mellows with age, like a good wine 🙂 I love the blogosphere ! I’m about to publish today’s post.

    • Thanks Lisa. I’m so sorry for not visiting your blog as often. I just recently realized many of my blog emails are going to my junk mail so I haven’t been seeing them. Not sure why this is happening but I am working on fixing it. In the meantime, I did read about “Big” loosing her teeth. Such a great story. The things our children face while growing up….but, I think she was so brave to just be done with it and face the fear. 🙂 Thanks again for your Congrats! I definitely will be visiting your blog more often. 🙂

    • Thanks Linda and you’re welcome on the nomination. As I said to Raili, I completely understand your humble decline. I realize when the nominations go out, not everyone will participate…and that’s ok. Although I have received these before, I feel it’s important to me to continue to connect with those who nominate me in this way. To me, it’s paying-it-forward…and I love this concept. I am the one in the drive thru line paying for the stranger behind me. Years ago, when my husband and I were young, and broke….someone in our church family realized this at the most crucial time. It was Christmas and we had two young children. There was a basket for those who wanted to exchange Christmas cards on the lobby table. One December Sunday, a card with our name on it was in the basket. We opened it and there was $100 cash inside and signed by: Someone Who Loves You. To this day, I have no idea who that angel was but I have been truly thankful and paying-it-forward since that day. I appreciate your gift in paying-it-forward through your blog as well as others. Thanks for sharing some personal facts. Looks like we have some things in common. I am also a Nana. My grandson named me Nonnie and so it is who I am. I love being a Grandparent. I have one grandchild and another one on the way. God is so good to me. 🙂

  3. I was going to say 13 but then grandmother at 13? No way. So I shall give you benefit of the doubt😊.
Thank you for nominating me for the award. Really appreciate it. However I have a award phobia or apprehension about accepting awards. I I have written a post about it recently titles “Of Awards, Acceptance , Apprehension” ( http://wp.me/p73yZZ-10V).
I will definitely visit the nine blog sites you nominated ( not going to visit my own site of course). I like the way you answered the seven facts about you and try to do the same here about me. Hope I can meet your standard.

    7 Facts About Me:

    1. I wear glasses, on both eyes. Never noticed that I wear them. Thought I was born with them.
2.I sleep very well when the TV is on except when it is football ( American type).
    3. My name is : does it matter. A rose is a rose by whatever name you call it, isn’t it?
    4. I had a birthday 2 months back, AGAIN! There are 2 digits. I will leave it at that, but I am not a grandmother. Not yet, not going to be one in this life.
    5. I do not have a middle name. That one was easy.
    6. I like Windows 10 because I do not have to use 🙂 anymore, I can use this 😊😊 directly.
    7. My current favorite chocolate: everything sweet and I have the bulging waist line to prove it( don’t tell that to my better half, 70% dark chocolates are bought specially for me – supposed to be good for my health).

Now you know who I am and I hope you still like me.

    • I must say… I do love your humor. 🙂 You have a way of making a person smile through your words. Thank you. As far as the nomination, “no worries.” I truly understand. I do appreciate your commenting on the 7 facts about you. I, too, love anything sweet. The older I get, the bigger the waistline. LOL The missing number in the equation is 5. I am 53 and enjoying being a grandparent. I have two grown children. One grandson and another grandchild on the way. Somehow, when God blessed me with the concept of being a grandparent, He also blessed me with feeling much younger as days go by. I realize I’m growing older but it really doesn’t matter. In my grandson’s eyes, I’m Nonnie….I’m an equal. 🙂 Oh, and Happy Belated Birthday. Hope it was all good. Thanks again for your comments. I appreciate you acknowledging the nomination and I look forward to your future posts! 🙂

      • Thanks for your kind words and understanding. Really appreciate that.
You are just eight years old (5+3), much younger than I thought 😊What a young Nannie.
I think age is just a state of mind. I am no Peter Pan but I try to find beauty in whatever I see. Life is stressful anyway, so why take the extra stress of aging. It will take its natural course.

  4. Love it! Thank you for the sweet words about me. I loved the 7 things about you and I really want to check out these blogs you nominated. I really am looking forward to what more we both have to share, I’m very grateful to have found your page and met you Laura. 😊
