Blissful state of mind…

“Bliss” takes on a different meaning for each of us.  Even with me, I have several things that give me a blissful feeling. Listening to music, hugging my cuddly dog of 14 years; crazy, random laughing with my family, the feeling of accomplishment, enjoying that moment of a sunrise or sunset, eating chocolate in that moment of desperation, an evening walk along the ocean front, warm hugs from a child, the sensation of my husband’s touch, connecting with God through His creation, or  just feeling the morning sun on my face are simply blissful.

But that moment of
being able to put my feet up,
take a deep breath
and allow my body to relax
says it all for me.
Relaxing my heart, soul, mind and yes, feet...

Relaxing my heart, soul, mind and yes, my feet…

Listening to my inner voice.

Closing my eyes to the world around me.

Undisturbed.

Looking for simplicity.

Realizing with a certainty

that nothing is more real

than a blissful state of mind.

Rested feet...Quiet times. Blissful state of mind.

Rested feet…Quiet times. Blissful state of mind.

But that moment of
being able to put my feet up,
take a deep breath
and allow my body to relax
says it all for me.

What gives you a
 blissful state of mind?
Your thoughts are
always welcomed.

    • I can’t tell you how much it means to me that you can relate to the words I write and appreciate my photos. These past few months have helped me tremendously in my learning process of blogging and photography. I appreciate YOU and Blogging U! 🙂

  1. I’ve been doing hot yoga consistently in the past two weeks. It is making me feel absolutely blissful. 🙂

  2. I treasure this times for myself. I think to be able to put up my feet & just rest is a great way to say “I’m really in control of my peace & sanity “.

    • Ha Ha… I never thought my toes would get so much attention. Thanks reading and commenting. I am now following you and look forward to future posts. I liked your About Page. 🙂 Very pleasant.

      • Thanks for your kind compliments and for following my blog! I hope if you can find the time that you will stop by my page called “Reasons to Smile” and leave a comment. It’s a list of things people are thankful for, just to encourage each other. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

    • Thanks! I don’t get to wear much splash on the toes cause it wears off so quickly from never sitting down. 😃 Working on Rule of Thirds as we speak. Thanks for your comments. It means a lot to me!😃

    • Thanks so so much! I really enjoy my quiet times although I don’t get it as often as I’d like. I don’t have a desk job and never did…and probably never will. My work requires me to always be on my feet and “toes” when working with “little ones.” I get some pauses throughout the day but too few to even notice. I think I will definitely be checking off some blissful moments soon. 🙂

      • I am in sync with you here. I’ve had a brief stint with teaching and that leaves me standing for hours. It’s important that sometimes we need that quiet moment to relax and be at peace with ourselves. Times to pamper ourselves and tend to our body. Personally, I love it when I get a good manicure and pedicure. Such moments signify absolute bliss for me. The task gave me a reason to think about my moments of bliss. 🙂
