The Silence is Real…

unaware of the camera, he stands quietly,

overlooking the calm on the other side.

The still waters reflect the surrounding green.

Nothing is hurried. Nature undisturbed.

The silence is real!

Do not deny your need for the simple pleasures.

A quiet mind…A calm soul…to silence the chatter.

Taking nothing for granted and just live in the moment…

May this day and every day bring you peace, tranquility  and harmony!

  1. You know, this reminds me of a thought I had about my father way back in the mid-1980’s. He had just passed away suddenly of a heart attack. He was only 59 yrs.old. It occurred to me that he never stopped for the lighter moments…you know, to “smell the roses.” He was too involved in his business, yet he was one of the nicest guys you’d ever want to know! How could a man like that NOT learn to relax some?

We all need to “let down” and take in nature. We should be meditating on the love of God each day and how He shows us so much care. The picture put me in mind of these thoughts…Thanks, Laura!

    • So so sorry about your father. Too young and gone too soon. Those who are always serving others usually neglect themselves in many ways. Nature is definitely a great way to slow down.
This picture was taken a few years ago, and the man had no idea I was taking his photo. But it was a picture perfect moment of silence. 🙂

      • Thank you so much about my dad, Laura. It’s like you knew him…always taking care of business for his family, and then some! He was a very good man…

And you’re right about the picture… perfect for the moment!

    • Oh Wow! It’s not supposed to be in all caps. I recently changed my theme for the first time on WordPress, and I’m having issues but didn’t realize this was one of them. I hope it didn’t change all of them to me shouting in all caps! LOL Thanks for letting me know. Guess I need to go back in and try to fix it! 😃
